8 YEARS OVERNIGHT SUCCESS STORY

In this podcast episode Stephen and I sit down to discuss my "8 years overnight success" of growing my Instagram account over 10,000 women in one week as well as some of the backstory to what made me so passionate about building the account in the first place.

I set a public goal to hit 10K by my birthday and honestly it felt like one of the scariest things I’ve ever done. I heard the quote recently (I think it’s in the new Taylor Swift documentary) “Everyone's jealous of what you've got. No one's jealous of what you had to do to get it.” and it rang true for me! Because no one wants to put themself out there like that. It’s hekkkka awkward. BUT, I wanted a bigger place to share the one idea that changed everything for me: motherhood is a relationship; caregiving is a job. I’ve been trying to grow my account for years, but telling people that’s what I wanted felt soooo scary.

After months of trying to post 3x every day with some (but minimal) success, I was ready to end my sprint a week early. I was tired. It was the end of summer and I thought, “I’ll just take it easy and try again in the fall.” But then the CRAZIEST thing happened….7 thousand people found and followed my account in just 7 days, allowing me to surpass my goal HOURS before my set deadline (my birthday).

It felt like a miracle (because it was) and I feel beyond blessed to be able to share this message and transformation with so many more women!
